Danish Taimoor Says Portugal Needs a Miracle to Win the 2026 FIFA World Cup

Karachi: Pakistani actor Danish Taimoor has shared his views on the ongoing FIFA World Cup, suggesting that Portugal may require an exceptional performance to lift the trophy despite being led by football icon Cristiano Ronaldo.

In a post shared on Instagram while wearing Portugal’s national team jersey, Taimoor expressed his support for the European side but acknowledged that, based on performances so far, several other teams appear to be stronger contenders.

According to the actor, France, England, Brazil, Spain, and Morocco have emerged as the tournament’s most impressive teams. He praised their disciplined defensive structures, effective pressing, tactical positioning, quick transitions, ball recovery, and ability to control the tempo of matches.

Taimoor said these teams have demonstrated the qualities expected of genuine title contenders and, if they maintain their current level of consistency, one of them could ultimately claim the World Cup.

While expressing his personal support for Portugal, he remarked that the team would likely need an extraordinary performance to overcome the tournament favorites and secure the championship.

The actor also noted that this World Cup could represent the final appearance on football’s biggest stage for several legendary players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Luka Modrić, Manuel Neuer, and Neymar.

Meanwhile, fellow Pakistani actor Ali Abbas also shared his prediction, describing France as the strongest candidate to win the tournament.
