Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has achieved a significant milestone as the country’s online Hajj registration portal crossed 150,000 sign-ups within just eight days of its launch — marking a major shift toward the complete digitisation of the Hajj process.
The registration drive kicked off on June 22 for Hajj 2027, coming shortly after nearly 179,000 Pakistani pilgrims successfully completed this year’s pilgrimage.
According to the ministry, all 150,000 applicants completed their registration entirely from home, with no office visits required at any stage. Officials described the public response as highly encouraging, with many applicants praising the platform for its convenience and transparency.
End-to-End Digital System
The government’s vision extends well beyond just online registration. The Ministry confirmed that the entire Hajj process — from initial sign-up to final payment of dues — will be handled through a single digital framework.
Through an integration with One Link, pilgrims will be able to submit Hajj dues directly from home via the online portal or the Pak Hajj mobile application, eliminating the need to visit banks or government offices altogether.
Overseas Pakistanis to Benefit
In a notable development for the Pakistani diaspora, the updated portal will allow overseas Pakistanis holding valid Pakistani passports to complete registration, submit their applications, and pay Hajj dues from anywhere in the world, without needing to travel back to Pakistan.
The ministry also confirmed that the portal and mobile app have been upgraded with new features, enabling applicants to track their application status and access relevant information at every stage.
Pakistan holds one of the largest national Hajj quotas globally, with Saudi Arabia allocating 179,210 pilgrim slots for the 2026 pilgrimage season.
